PUBLIC HEARING:
Consider approval of an Ordinance amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by adding new zoning districts and development regulations to Chapter 12, Article 26, "MXD-1 and MXD-2" Mixed Use-1 and Mixed Use-2 Districts and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
Summary
On February 20, 2014, the Planning Commission had as a discussion item the draft of the Mixed Use Zoning District proposal.
On April 3, 2014, the Planning Commission reviewed a proposed text amendment to add Mixed-Use Zoning to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
Staff Recommendation:
On April 3, 2014, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of this TEXT AMENDMENT (6-0) subject to various revisions which have been incorporated into the draft ordinance. Commissioners Sarma, Robinson, Haas, Portman, Darling and Blankenship voted in favor; none opposed.
The Planning Department recommends APPROVAL.
